We had done a little 9 day tour of Yorkshire and Malton was our last stop. Arrived at Chapter Two and was greeted by a really cheerful young lady who checked us in and showed us to our room and advised us where to park. Room was nice and clean and quiet. We had twin beds, which were comfortable. Chapter Two is in a great location in the village, so we have a wander round and had something to eat, then made our way back to the bar. The owners are a family of young people who are all friendly and cheerful and the right people to be in hospitality! Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing location right on the market square. Despite this, no real issues with noise. The rooms are above a bar so people may be drinking and talking below your window on warm evenings, but we found the noise stopped at 8.30pm on Thursday and 9.30pm on Friday night, so wasn't a problem. Note some people don't like the green safety light in the room - wasn't a problem for me personally though was not in direct view of the bed given the L-shaped entranceway. Rooms are cosily sized though our ensuite bathroom was a decent size. I would stay here again if visiting Malton once more!

We received a very warm welcome from the staff and were taken to our room rather than just being given directions. We were also told where we could park for free which was only a few minutes walk away. The room had full size coffee mugs and a well stocked hospitality tray. Toiletries were provided. The room was a good size and decorated with quirky little touches.

Great location for us as visiting family in the area. Not a bad drive to the park and ride to get into York from here. The property took a minute to find as the door was around the back of the front entrance of the bar but otherwise ok to find. Easy check in and great help with one of the rooms as some of us were arriving late. Rooms were clean and like all the toiletries, water bottles, tea/coffee, biscuits left out for us. It’s an old property but it was great we all had our own en suite. Shower was good too.

The property is ideally located in the centre of Malton, in a beautiful house that’s akin to the house in all creatures great and small, the beds were comfy and the location was quiet. Loved the art deco fireplace in the entrance!

Friendly staff, the proximity to the bar itself, relaxed nature of the check out process, easy late night access, quietness, despite being a perfect town centre location.

Lovely accommodation separate from the pub, absolutely amazing relaxing stay. Such a big comfy room. Large big bed towels and toiletries. Loves stopping here. Ideal for bangers and cash fans and those who like Scarborough and Filey coast. The staff in the pub who run the accommodation was absolutely amazing very friendly and polite- nothing was too much trouble.

The location of the property is excellent, within very short distances to restaurants and cafes/pubs in Malton. The bed in the double room was very comfy and the en-suite spacious. Plenty of coffee/tea in the room. The wifi worked perfectly. Staff were very helpful and courteous.

Can't fault our stay, nice big room comfortable, good shower, quite and good location. Staff are lovely and friendly. Would stay again if in Malton.

Great location and parking close to the accommodation. Cosy, heating a bit unpredictable but grateful for the additional heater.
